Welcome to MUUVR! MUUVR is a fitness platform developed by MUUVR Labs AG based in Zurich, Switzerland (the "Company" or "we"). MUUVR aims to motivate people to lead a more active life.


In its activities, the Company collects and processes information about individuals ("personal data"), including information about our current and potential users, customers, business partners, service providers, and applicants ("you", "your", "yours").


MUUVR connects you and all users with a community of other fitness enthusiasts and enables you to track your own training activities. The platform includes features like leaderboards, challenges, and incentives designed to keep users active and engaged.


The MUUVR app ("MUUVR") is available for both Android and Apple smartphones and can be connected with data collection devices and platforms, so-called wearables (including but not limited to Garmin, Apple, Google, Wahoo, and Whoop).


MUUVR gains access to the user data from your respective wearable app. To install MUUVR on your smartphone, you must give your consent for it to function automatically as intended. MUUVR only accesses the data you record on your wearable app.

Our platform "MUUVR" is a social platform. Therefore, your profile information, including personal details like location data, heart rate data, performance data, and general information about your activities and progress, is recorded and shared with other users.


In the course of the Company's business operations, your data may be shared with other companies and services. This can happen for various reasons, including, but not limited to, improving your MUUVR experience, providing data for personalized marketing, and providing data for use in scientific studies. In each case, the details of the shared information are clearly defined, and your explicit consent is obtained when you set up your profile in MUUVR. 


Privacy, transparency, and ownership of your data are important to us. We want to ensure that you understand how we collect, use, and share the personal data we receive during interactions with MUUVR experiences.

We will make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time to ensure that we meet our requirements under applicable data protection laws and provide you with the best experience. If we make significant changes to the way we collect, store, or share your data, or if we make significant changes to the Privacy Policy, we will ensure that this document is updated and the version date is revised. We may also announce changes via push notifications in MUUVR, on our website, via email, or through social media.


This Privacy Policy is based on the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) and - if applicable - the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Gathering Information

Information you provide us

To join the MUUVR experience, you need to create an account. To create an account, here's what you'll need to provide us with:

  • First and last name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Date of birth

  • Country of residence

  • Height

  • Weight

These details need to be accurate to offer you the best experience with MUUVR. They should reflect your real self and always be up-to-date.

Information we gather

During your use of MUUVR, we collect the following information:

  • Which sport you are interested in

  • Details of all recorded training goals

  • Ads and promotions you see and your interactions with them

  • We keep all MUUVR in-app communications, such as chat logs, to ensure the MUUVR community standards and behaviors are maintained. These logs may be shared for broader review or for verification by others.

  • If you decide to activate the paid MUUVR membership, payment preferences will be stored with our payment partners (such as Apple and Google) so we can offer you enhanced services.

Info about your activities

One of the main purposes of MUUVR is to provide access to motivating experiences based on your physical activities. To achieve this, we need to collect information about your activities. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • The type of sport and activity

  • How far you move during a sport/activity

  • Your GPS and location data during a sport/activity

  • Your heart rate and the associated analysis during a sport/activity

  • Your preferred unit of measurement

  • All sports you participate in and your performance in these sports

  • How long you are active during a sport/activity

  • Your altitude data during a sport/activity

  • Your cycling power data 

  • Your cadences during a sport/activity

  • Your participation in competitions, activities, challenges, group rides, or other motivating activities

  • Experience points collected for a sport/activity

  • Earned reward points (“MUUVS”) for a sport/activity and total MUUVS acquired

  • Use of MUUVS

  • Completed gamification elements

  • Functional performance measurements

  • Skill adjustments

  • People you're active with

  • Completed sections and their times

  • Comments and acknowledgements

  • Transcripts of chat conversations

  • Used hardware and devices

Automatically collected information

When you access or use the MUUVR website or the MUUVR app, we may automatically collect information that may include:

  • Information gathered through log files. These are collected during your use of MUUVR and help us troubleshoot and solve problems. They include items such as:

    • Phone data

    • Tablet details

    • Computer details

    • Network provider information

    • Operating system information

    • Device information details

    • App version details

    • Pages accessed and your interaction with them

  • Purchases on the MUUVR marketplace

  • Use of MUUVR

Information you share or that we collect is generally made publicly available in an anonymized form as part of the MUUVR experience.

Location data

Devices connected with the MUUVR app gather location data. The MUUVR app also collects location data through your smartphone's location services. This enables MUUVR to track activities and provide access to local experiences like group rides, races, challenges, competitions, and sectors.

Sharing information

Connect with fellow MUUVR users

The core of the MUUVR experience is the need to share information about you and your activities with other users. This happens when you record activities and interact with the MUUVR app. The information we share includes, among others, the following:

  • Your first name

  • Your last name

  • The country you've chosen to link your account with

  • Gender

  • Height

  • Weight

  • Age

  • Location data

  • Time data

  • Performance details such as power output and heart rate measurements

  • Sector times and personal bests

  • Level or rank

  • Position in events

  • Type of activity

  • Chat messages

  • Calculated metrics, e.g., HRTSS

Sharing information with third parties

MUUVR allows users to connect with third-party platforms. All information shared in these integrations is shared in accordance with the third party's privacy policies.

We do not sell or transfer your personal data without obtaining your explicit consent.

However, we may share your personal data for one or more of the following reasons:

  • During negotiations for the acquisition, merger, or investment in the company

  • To assess whether your behavior aligns with our terms of service and privacy policy, or is generally acceptable

  • Compliance with law enforcement requests

  • To enable consultants and service providers to perform work on our behalf

  • For audits to ensure that no fraudulent activities are taking place

Sharing Combined Data

Anonymous reports about the use of MUUVR can be created and made publicly accessible.

We can provide advertising agencies or advertisers with relevant information that allows them to personalize ads and measure ad performance. In this case, we'll never share your name or other information that directly identifies you. Instead, we use an advertising identifier like a cookie.

Data Storage

We only store your personal data to allow you to continue using MUUVR. We keep it only as long as necessary to fulfill this commitment and for the purposes described in this privacy policy. If you delete your account or change your email address, we will retain your data for 14 more days so you can reinstall MUUVR with your data and MUUVS based on your original email address.

Account information

You can update your account information anytime by logging into the MUUVR app.

Delete account and personal information

To permanently delete your MUUVR account, please contact data@muuvr.io and explicitly request the deletion of all account data. Our deletion process will then commence.

Cookies and web beacons

"Cookies" are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, check out http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
"Web beacons", "tags", and "pixels" are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the MUUVR website. Most internet browsers allow you to enable or disable cookies each time you interact with the MUUVR site.

Newsletters

According to our terms and conditions, you agree that you'll regularly receive a newsletter in an email from us. You can unsubscribe from these emails anytime by clicking the unsubscribe button included in the emails.

If you decide not to receive newsletter emails, we'll still send you information related to your account and certain interactions with MUUVR, such as:

  • Details about active sessions

  • MUUVS spent or earned

  • Details about changes to the user agreement, the privacy policy, or your account information

  • Password reset details

  • Changes to your membership

Mobile push notifications

We can send promotional and non-promotional push notifications or alerts to your mobile device.

Right to Withdraw Consent

You can withdraw your consent to the processing of your data at any time by contacting us at data@muuvr.io.

Data security

We stick to widely recognized industry standards to protect the personal data we collect and store during transmission and after it's in our care. Although we always use acceptable means to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. All our employees and consultants who have access to personal data must adhere to the internal rules and procedures for processing personal data to protect it and ensure its confidentiality. In the event of a breach of your personal data security, we will take all economically reasonable steps to limit and remedy the disclosure, as required by applicable law. Age restriction

The MUUVR website and app are not marketed to individuals under 16 years old. If you find that someone under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at data@muuvr.io

We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 16, do not market to them, and do not accept services from them. If we learn that someone under 16 has provided us with personal data, we take steps to remove that information.

Effective Date; Changes to the Policy

Whenever you use the MUUVR website and app, the current version of the privacy policy applies. So, be sure to check the date of this policy (listed at the top) and see any changes since you last checked it. Our business and the MUUVR platform change quickly and often, and this privacy policy may change. We encourage you to regularly check the website for updates to the privacy policy. Unless stated otherwise, our current policy applies to all information we have about you. We will not make significant changes to our policies and practices to make them less protective of customer data collected in the past without the consent of the affected customers.

Applicable Law

This policy is governed by the laws of Switzerland, excluding the principles of conflict of laws.
